We provide a warm and friendly environment where children can see excellent role models which enable them to develop secure relationships with adults and other children.

Children and families are introduced to a key person and we positively encourage strong constructive links with home and setting to ensure that we respond sensitively to children’s needs.  We personally share children’s developmental breakthroughs with parents, hold regular open evenings for parents.  Parents are invited to attend Collective Worship on Mondays and Fridays and other special events like Sports Day.

We build on the positive relationships formed in our Children’s Centre and work closely with other agencies and St. John Vianney Primary School to ensure the best outcomes for children.

We follow the guidance in Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education to ensure that appropriate checks are carried out on all staff and visitors.  All staff are engaged in reflective practice and are motivated and supported to further raise their skills and qualifications.

“Choosing childcare for your child is a challenge, and I thank you all at Starfish for giving our precious boy the very best start in life. You all made our time with you so very easy.” – Mr & Mrs P.
